Weekly Homework and Reading log
Home work is required at PHES. I always try to make homework fun, engaging and meaningful. Homework should be practice of skills I have been teaching so the skill is reinforced and practiced so the student can apply it in the real world. I choose to do a Tic-Tac-Toe style homework. Three squares are required, but of course you can do more. Everyone must do the middle square which will be their ILP goals, which is what is discussed during Parent-Teacher Conferences. Everyone also has to do their Reading log. Reading 50 minutes a week. Students can read with you, echo read, read their Take Home Readers to you, or you read to them.
Homework is a grade on your child's report card.
If you have any questions please feel free to call or text me at: 928-231-4239.
This week's homework is to complete their Me Bag. They are to select several items that will help their friends learn about them. Please no breakable items or expensive items. Good suggestions to send are picture of your family or pet, a toy of something they like to play with. Toy car or small doll. A crayon of their favorite color. All items have to fit inside the provided bag.
We will be sharing the Me Bags all week. All bags need to be shared by Friday, August 9th.
